Hello my name is Kyle King i have made this blog to share my paintings with people. I have pastel still life's , watercolour and a couple of oil paintings on canvas that im starting to reallly enjoy. Im 29 years old in september 2018 and have been painting 3 years. I got into art by attending a creative writing group at Eden Grove community centre. I met some really good freinds there Jane who founded the writing group Margret and Francis who are like a 2nd family to me. There is also Maxine who does the arts and crafts group in the same place and Tina, Ian, Kim Autumn who are all a family that run the daisy cafe that is in the community centre.
After i had attended the creative writing group for a few weeks Francis asked me if i would like to join him painting in a pastel session at Clifton Cathedral. I Accepted the offer and have been pasteling there on off for three years. I met Pipa Margret Penny and Monica there who are also like a family to me. Pipa is in charge of the group and Monica always lets me share her green tea bag when we have tea and lets me use her hairspray to preserve my pastels.
After i had been going to the pastel goups with Francis for a while he said he could take me to more groups these were Brushstrokes and a watercolour goup in patchway. These groups were run by Roma this got me painting severel times a week which went really well. There is alot off people in these groups and i love them all as my family Brenda Kathleen Karl Doreen etc
I was suffering with depression and my support Jack was tring everything he could to get me out of bed. One day i guess i saw a light in attending a goup called studio upstairs a groups him and my care coardinater Phill Todd found. Im really enjoying the studio upstairs sessions i get the bus there every tuesday 10am untell 3pm. I really like spending time with Hillary Alex Sharon Hayley Rob etc. i am currently working on my 4th oil on canvas painting whitch i am really enjoying.
Since i started studio upstairs at christmas it has went so well encouridging me to start my groups with Roma and Pipa iv decided to inroll in a level two art course. I went to my interveiw with Richard who works with me to do with funding. I showed the tuter my portpholio and he accepted me onto the course.
Wow i dont belive i write so much in this section i dont expect anybody to read it all. Id like to thank my new family everybody mentioned and my reel family my mum Beth and the most important part of my life my brother Cameron and my stepdad Adam and his children Austin and Flint.
